Questions About Working Together

Is this therapy?

No, Breathwork Mastery is not a substitute for therapy or professional mental health treatment. Though I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of New York, and my training very much informs my practice, I offer these sessions as a Breathwork Practitioner, not a social worker. I believe that Breathwork Mastery can be a powerful complement to traditional talk therapy and other treatment modalities.

Breathwork can be transformative in terms of  self-discovery and the release of stored stress. You may experience emotions or past memories as part of this process—this is normal and part of the journey. While practicing Breathwork Mastery  provides a supportive space, you are responsible for your own well-being.  I encourage you to seek additional support from mental health professionals or other practitioners if needed. In an emergency, please contact 911 immediately.

Is the breathwork gentle and safe?

Yes. The breath-based practices I draw from are gentle, self-paced, and non-forced. They are oriented toward nervous system regulation and listening to the body, rather than pushing toward release or breakthrough.

Many dynamic or strongly guided breathwork styles can push the body into intense states that you may be physically capable of reaching but not yet emotionally or psychologically ready to process.

Breathwork Mastery RBM works differently. We place no force on the breath. Instead, we trust your body’s natural intelligence to unwind at a pace that feels truly supportive. You set the intention, and your breath and body lead the way. This means you will only move into experiences that you are safe, ready, and supported enough to explore. The process is gentle, respectful, and always guided by what feels right for you.

What kinds of concerns is this work helpful for?

Clients often seek this work for stress, anxiety, overwhelm, relational patterns, life transitions, creative blocks, or a desire for deeper self-connection. We’ll talk together about your goals and determine whether this approach is a good fit.

Do you accept insurance?

Unfortunately insurance does not cover Breathwork sessions. I will do my personal best to meet your needs if I have availability to slide my scale. A small number of reduced-fee spaces may be offered on a case-by-case basis, as availability allows.

What is the cancellation policy?

If you need to reschedule an appointment, please get in touch as soon as possible. Please note, there is a 36-hour $35 rescheduling fee that applies to cover the cost of space rental. I adhere to a 48-hour cancellation policy. Last-minute cancellations and no-shows are charged the full price of the session booked. Please note that arriving late to your session may result in a shorter appointment so as to not penalize clients booking after you. Clients who are over 20 minutes late will be asked to reschedule their appointment and will be charged a cancellation fee.
