Questions About Working Together

Is breathwork the same as therapy?

No - breathwork and therapy are distinct offerings, though they can work beautifully together.

I offer both. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 17 years of experience, I see clients for therapy - including an integrated approach that can incorporate breathwork and Reiki alongside talk therapy. I also offer standalone breathwork sessions as a certified Breathwork Mastery RBM practitioner, which are not therapy and are open to anyone regardless of whether they are in treatment.

In a standalone breathwork session, I create the space as a practitioner, not a clinician. These sessions can be deeply supportive for self-discovery, nervous system regulation, and the release of stored stress - and are a powerful complement to therapy or other modalities. You may experience emotions or memories as part of the process; this is normal and part of how the work unfolds. While I provide a supportive container, you are responsible for your own wellbeing, and I encourage you to seek additional professional support if needed. In an emergency, please contact 911.

If you're unsure which offering is right for you, feel free to reach out - I'm happy to help you find the best fit.

Is the breathwork gentle and safe?

Yes. The breath-based practices I draw from are gentle, self-paced, and non-forced. They are oriented toward nervous system regulation and listening to the body, rather than pushing toward release or breakthrough.

Many dynamic or strongly guided breathwork styles can push the body into intense states that you may be physically capable of reaching but not yet emotionally or psychologically ready to process.

Breathwork Mastery RBM works differently. We place no force on the breath. Instead, we trust your body’s natural intelligence to unwind at a pace that feels truly supportive. You set the intention, and your breath and body lead the way. This means you will only move into experiences that you are safe, ready, and supported enough to explore. The process is gentle, respectful, and always guided by what feels right for you.

What kinds of concerns is this work helpful for?

Clients often seek this work for stress, anxiety, overwhelm, relational patterns, life transitions, creative blocks, or a desire for deeper self-connection. We’ll talk together about your goals and determine whether this approach is a good fit.

Do you accept insurance?

Unfortunately no. I will do my personal best to meet your needs if I have availability to slide my scale. A small number of reduced-fee spaces may be offered on a case-by-case basis, as availability allows.

What is the cancellation policy?

If you need to reschedule an appointment, please get in touch as soon as possible. Please note, there is a 36-hour $40 rescheduling fee that applies to cover the cost of space rental. I adhere to a 48-hour cancellation policy. Last-minute cancellations and no-shows are charged the full price of the session booked. Please note that arriving late to your session may result in a shorter appointment so as to not penalize clients booking after you. Clients who are over 20 minutes late will be asked to reschedule their appointment and will be charged a cancellation fee.
